D, will host a book signing of her latest just-published book 'Well-Come to Retirement: Thriving in Your Third Act' Wednesday, November 1st from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at the Southwest Branch Library, 12248 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola. She will sign and sell copies of her book. The event is sponsored by The Friends of the Southwest Branch Library. The book features 40 real life stories showing how to live to the fullest and embrace aging. Perdido Key's own quintessential volunteer, Bill Stromquist is featured! Dr. Martin's previous books include 'Liars, Cheats, and Creeps: Leaving the Sociopath Behind' and 'The Other Couch'. Patricia Peters Martin, Ph.D., is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Georgetown University and holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Purdue University. Dr. Martin has done research work at National Institute of Mental Health studying bi-polar disorder and at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. She is the daughter of the late Ed Peters, a founding member of the Friends of the Southwest Branch Library Foundation, Inc.; she is also a member of the Friends of the Southwest Branch Library.
