Summer Safe Perdido Key - Free Hands-On Skills Training

Summer in Escambia County is all about enjoying the sun, beaches, and water, but safety should always come first. Join us September 16 in Perdido Key for the next Summer Safe Pensacola, a hands-on event designed to give you practical skills and the confidence to respond during an emergency.

At the heart of Summer Safe Pensacola is one important message: Bystanders save lives! Emergencies can happen anywhere at the beach, at work, at home, or in the community and knowing what to do in those critical first moments can make a life-saving difference.

Through interactive, skill-building sessions led by trained professionals, attendees will learn:

Hands-Only CPR
Learn a simple and effective approach to CPR and practice the techniques needed to respond when someone experiences a cardiac emergency.

Stop the Bleed
Discover how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and use techniques such as direct pressure and tourniquet application to help control bleeding until professional help arrives.

Water Safety
Build awareness of common water-related hazards, including rip currents and drowning risks, and learn what to do when a water emergency occurs.

Bystanders Save Lives
Understand the important role bystanders play during emergencies, including how to recognize an emergency, call 911, take immediate action, and assist someone in need.

Our goal is simple: to equip community members with practical knowledge and skills so they feel prepared to step in when every second counts.
