Job Title: Marketing & Events Manager
Reports To:  President/CEO
Non-Exempt, Full Time

The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing & Events Manager to support the planning, execution, and promotion of Chamber events while managing and enhancing our digital marketing efforts. This position plays a key role in promoting Chamber programs, events, and services through a variety of digital and traditional marketing channels.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and tech-savvy, with a strong understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies. They should have a passion for marketing, communications, and community engagement, and the ability to turn ideas into effective campaigns that drive participation, membership engagement, and event attendance.
 
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing marketing initiatives across multiple platforms while assisting with the planning and execution of Chamber events.

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels, including social media, email marketing, printed materials, and website content.
  • Plan, coordinate, and promote Chamber events, including developing event concepts, themes, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with Chamber goals and brand messaging.
  • Analyze campaign performance and engagement data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize results.
  • Provide monthly marketing performance reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and maintain two Chamber websites using WordPress.
  • Create and distribute weekly email newsletters to members and subscribers.
  • Design marketing materials, including flyers, graphics, and promotional assets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members’ questions related to the Chamber website and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Track event expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
 Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphic design tools such as Canva or similar publishing programs.
  • Experience managing websites using WordPress.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate campaign data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in event planning or event coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.
