Perdido Area Chamber Hosting High Heel Classic Golf Scramble
| Perdido Key, FL – February 10, 2023 “Don’t Worry Tee Happy” Indulge in a day of fun by gathering together a group of Golf Divas, or first time players, to play in a foursome at the High Heel Classic Golf Scramble at Pensacola Country Club on March 27th. Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce President, Tammy Thurow said "This is a fun tournament for all levels of play, and even if you have never played before, the 'best ball' format means all you need is at least one person on your team that can hit the ball." In best ball play, each golfer hits their own ball throughout the round but after each hole, only the best score amongst the team members is recorded and counts as the score for the whole team for that hole.The best scores on each hole are added up to give the final, total score for the team. The team with the lowest score wins. Teams can show off their girl power by blinging out the golf cart with fun decorations to show team spirit. The best decorated golf cart will win a prize. Trophies for the Queens of the Green will be awarded. Registration fee of $100 per golfer or $400 per foursome includes beverages, lunch and a golf gift for every player. Solo golfers are welcome and will be placed on a team. According to Thurow, "Gentlemen are welcome to volunteer to serve as valets or concierges to assist with check in, contests, lunch delivery and as hole monitors, but this day of play is really all about the ladies." The fun will carry on throughout the event with games, giveaways, contest holes, team pictures and even a TrackMan radar system that will capture your swing and send you the video in case you decide if you want to continue playing golf as a hobby. This tournament is produced by the Women Mean Business Committee of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce.
